Annie's "End Times" Page

You weigh the cost...................
If the RAPTURE happened today would you be left behind?

Click here on the Gates of Heaven to find out how to become a Christian.

Lets imagine you have just died. You are at the gates of Heaven. You are asked one question. Why should we allow you in? What would your answer be? Are you sure that you would be allowed to enter?

If you don't know the answer to that question then you need to make a choice right now.

To learn how to become a Christian and make the most important decision in your life...........click on the gates of heaven graphic. It will take you to a page by Campus Crusade for Christ that will explain very simply how you can be sure you will go to Heaven when you die.

We never know what tomorrow will bring. Life is full of uncertainties. Do you really want to take a chance with your future? You can know for certain where you will spend eternity. God only promises us today. Don't put off restoring your relationship with the Lord God for another day. Now is the time to get right with God.

If you have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior then you should know that this place is not your home.

"In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am,
there you may be also."
~John 14:2-3~

Many Christian's have very strong convictions and opinions about many things. It seems that they are especially dogmatic about the "End Times". No one can tell you EXACTLY what it all means or how it will all happen. Generally it is best to look at the "End Times" as a subject that many Christian's just "Agree to Disagree" about.

This "End Time" page may be a little "unorthodox" but maybe that is a good thing. I am not going to tell you what you should believe. I am not going to guarantee with certainty what WILL happen. What I want to do is to challenge you to pick up the Bible and dig in. Find out for yourself what it really says. If someone gave you a map to a hidden treasure you wouldn't put it away for safe keeping. We already have a treasure map. It is called the Bible, the Scriptures and the WORD OF GOD.

Maybe it is time for you to re-evaluate what you believe and why.

What do we REALLY know for CERTAIN about the End Times?
We know that:
1. The Lord the Messiah will return
2. 4 of 7 feasts have been literally fulfilled.
So there are 3 more major feasts to be fulfilled.

We will be "caught up" in the sky and He will meet us there.

He will return the same way that He left: "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. " ~Acts 1:9-11~

And He told us to look and learn the "Signs of the Times" of His return:
Luke 24:44-45 "And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,"

Do you know what the Bible REALLY says about Prophecy and the End Times?

NOT "what you THINK" or NOT what you have been "taught" by Pastors or Sunday School teachers or even well known authors. Do you know why you believe what you do? Do you know what you believe?

Personally I have always been a "Doubting Thomas". I would say "Don't tell me what you THINK tell me what the Bible says. Give me one scripture verse. PROVE it to me." OK some may just call me stubborn BUT did you know that we are told to be like this? We are to "PROVE all things and hold fast that which is good."

Thomas was one of the disciples. After Jesus was resurrected and was in the upper room with the disciples Thomas wouldn't believe that the man who was there was truly the Lord. Thomas had to put his own hands in the side and hands of Jesus. This was the only way that Thomas could really truly believe that Jesus had been resurrected and was with them again. Thomas has to "SEE" it for himself.

When I said that I was a "Doubting Thomas" (John 20:26-29) I didn't mean that I didn't believe Jesus was "whom he said that he was". What I meant was that when teachers and preachers had taught different doctrine and theology I wanted them to show me what the Bible said and not what they "believed".

Here are the verses that teach us this principle:
"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth"
~2 Timothy 2:15~

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
~2 Timothy 3:16-17~

It doesn't matter what Annie thinks....

What matters is what the Bible says.

Let's look at the "End Times" & Prophecy as a MYSTERY or a PUZZLE! When you try to solve a mystery or work a puzzle you have to have some guidelines or rules to follow to help you accomplish your goal.

Forget all that you have been TAUGHT about the End Times....lets see what the Bible really says. When you put a 1,000 piece puzzle together you need to put the edges together first. It would be almost impossible to finished the puzzle if you didn't have the box with the picture on it.

The edges of that puzzle will be the different terms and words that you need to know before you can continue on with your puzzle making. We don't have to look outside the Bible for our definitions. The Bible gives us the definitions. You just have to look for them.

For example: Revelation 1:16 "And he had in his right hand "seven stars": and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength."

What do the "seven stars" mean?
Well lets read further on in the same chapter. Here is what we find in Revelations 1:20 "The mystery of the "seven stars" which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The "seven stars" are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches."

There is another example. The Parable of the Tares in Matthew 13:24-53. After Jesus tells the people the Parable the disciples ask him what it meant. This is what Jesus taught them: "And He answered and said, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. "
~Matthew 13:37-39~

So now you can understand, that we can find a definition of a word in the Bible itself. All you need do is to pray and ask the Lord to open your eyes as you study the Bible. You many not find the "answer" right away but if you keep persisting you will find the truth. Don't give up too easily.

Most Christians either don't know very much at all about the "End Times" OR they think they know ALL the answers. Remember that everyone has a different opinion. We are all certainly entitled to that opinion whether it is right or wrong.

Some people are intimidated by the book of Revelation and don't even try to study it. If you ask someone WHY they believe WHAT they do about the "End Times", most people can't even answer that question. PLEASE remember that anyone can use one or two verses to prove a point or twist doctrine.

When people study "Prophecy" it is easy to get overwhelmed. It may seem that the more you learn the more you don't know. So you may need to step back from your study and "PONDER" what you have read. Read and reread the Bible verses. Even read them out loud. But don't get frustrated before you begin.

Did you know that just by reading the book of Revelations you are promised a blessing? You can't have too many blessings. So why not get started and read it.

What we need to do is forget all you have been TAUGHT. Start with a clean slate. YES that's right. Forget it all. Instead, lets look at what Jesus said and what the Bible says. Not what you THINK.

Most people tend to think that "Prophecy" and "End Times" are too hard to understand. As Christian's we have a special secret weapon to make our understanding much easier. The Lord has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us and teach us.

Right from the start. Lets agree to disagree!!!!! Let's get started.

FIRST ---------STOP and PRAY. Ask the Lord to open your eyes.
SECOND ------ If you are not a Christian you are welcome to read about what the Bible says will happen in the "LAST DAYS" but after you read this you might want to come right back here.

THIRD -- The Bible has proven to be true and faithful. Fulfillment of Prophecy on the first coming of Jesus Christ can be read on this page:
Annie's Jesus the Fulfillment Page

Remember: Try to put aside ALL that you have thought or been taught.
Clear the slate.

Lets get started to learn and see what the Bible REALLY says about the End Times together.

What do we need to do first?
Let's gather our supplies or tools for the job.

You will need:
A Bible
- preferably more then one translation. You can compare the verses to help you have some insight to the differences. I personally prefer to memorize scripture in the KJV but for our study you decide which one you prefer. Remember that when you use your Study Bible you need to realize that the "footnotes or helps" are written by the authors perspective. If you don't have a Bible with cross references you might want to consider buying one.

A Concordance - A concordance is really a wonderful study tool. You can see all the other verses in the Bible with the same word in it. We are trying to see what the BIBLE says so lets not read the footnotes for now. I prefer that you use the "cross references" instead. They really are quite wonderful. What they tell us is that there are certain other verses that are in the Bible and are about the same subject of the verse that we have just read.

Something to write on & with - You will also need something to write your notes and thoughts on. I prefer 3 ring notebooks and then 3 ring binders. You will also need different colored pens and markers. Red and blue for sure.

I personally like to write in my Bible. I know that a lot of people prefer not to but it helps me. I like to date verses that the Lord is showing me and then you can go back and check them. I have found that my favorite Bible is the one where I can "find" the verses that I am thinking about.

You don't have a Bible or Concordance?
Don't worry!!!

For your convenience I have added this Bible Search Engine right here on the page. Here is the online Bible & Concordance that I use. It will open automatically in another window for you.

Search the Bible:
Search for:
in the:
using:
Include Study Tools HELP

"Copy and Paste" the words or verses that you want to look up and then put them in the above Bible Search Engine. To copy highlight the words you want to copy and then right click and choose "copy". To paste right click where you want the word to go and choose "paste". If for some reason that doesn't work you can use "Ctrl C" keys to copy then "Ctrl V" keys to paste.

To find out what the different resources are and how to study the Bible further visit this page that I have them all listed on: Annie's Bible Study Reference Page

Now that we have our "tools"........ Lets continue on with our adventure.

Remember to always start your Bible Study with prayer. Ask the Lord to open your eyes and your ears to hear and see what the scriptures are saying. Ask for the Lord's guidance and direction. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you as you study what the Word of God says. Thank Him that we can still have the freedom to own Bibles and read them. Then ask all these things in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior and because of the Blood that was shed on Calvary. AMEN.

How do you decide where to start?

You can either choose a topic of interest to you or a chapter or book of the Bible. It is entirely up to you. Below you will find terms or words frequently used in "End Time" Bible Study:

Keep in mind that many people base their end times beliefs on the tribulation. Whether the rapture happens "PRE", "MID", or "POST" tribulation.

It is ALWAYS better to look up the words in the Bible for yourself. When you look up in commentaries that others have written you always have their "slant" or "opinion" on what they mean. Don't get me wrong. Not all of the Bible study notes or commentaries are bad or wrong. We just need to remember to keep that in mind when we read books and other End Times pages.

"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." ~Acts 17:11~

You can also make a chart similar to the one below to help you keep the information you gather in some sense of order.

From Webster's -- "TRIBULATION - Function: noun : distress or suffering resulting from oppression or persecution; also : a trying experience."

Rev 2:10,22 -- "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." & "Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds."

Here are some Scripture Verses that you might want to choose as the passages to get you started:

"Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; even so you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door."
~Matthew 24:32-33~

"Therefore, be on the alert - for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, at cockcrowing, or in the morning- lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all, 'Be on the alert!' " ~Mark 13:35-37~

Questions and Answers:

What must happen before the Lord returns?
Every person you ask will have a different answer to that question. Some believe that the temple needs to be rebuilt. Others don't. It sure would have been much easier if the Lord had just given us the "Ten things that have to happen" on a piece of paper. Or maybe an accurate list of dates of all the events that will happen. But the Lord didn't give us that information in specific detail. We have the Bible which is the Word of God. Prophecy is not easy to understand. Nevertheless, it is important to read what the Bible prophets in the old and new testament say about the future. And as we read it we need to trust that the Lord has the future in His hands.

What does the number 7 mean?
Seven is known to be the number of "spiritual perfection".
The book of Revelation has many references to "seven":
Seven Churches - Rev 1:4
Seven Candlesticks - Rev 2:1
Seven Plagues - Rev 15:6
Seven Bowls - Rev 15:7
Seven Seals - Rev 5:1
The Feast of Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, and The Feast of Tabernacles are all celebrated in the "seventh" month called Tishri. You can see all the many times "seven" is used in the Bible at
Naves Topical Bible. Visit this NEW link: Numbers in the Bible

Why can't I find the word RAPTURE in the Bible?
Because this word is not in the Bible at all. Instead it is "Caught up" or "Taken". Most often the verse quoted to back up the rapture discussion is 1 Thes 4:13-18

What are the FEASTS that have to be fulfilled?
There are 7 feasts. Four feasts were fulfilled literally. Therefore the last 3 feasts must be too. Look up the different feasts and study about the original and also it's literal fulfillment. Some people believe that the rapture and the Lord's return will be on a Jewish Feast Day. Some say Pentecost and others say The Feast of Trumpets. Some believe that Pentecost has been fulfilled and others feel it will be fulfilled again. BUT that is indeed speculation.

Is there one book in the Bible that tells me all about the End Times and exactly what will happen?
No but there are a few that most people consider important. Revelations & Daniel are the most popular, but you can find end times information in both the Major and Minor Prophets. Micah, Ezekiel, Zechariah and Isaiah are just a few.

What is this 7 year tribulation?
Here is the scripture that most people use to explain this:
Daniel 9:24-27

What about Petra?
You can do a search in the Bible & the Bible Study Tools HERE.
Here is a news item for you to check out:
Is Petra a hiding place for Israeli remnant during Armageddon?

Should you just accept what tradition says about the "End Times"?
As I have mentioned before, be careful to "prove all things" because people can use Scripture out of context and twist it for their own purposes.
For example "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" is often used to justify retribution. But they forget to mention this verse: "Vengeance is mine saith the Lord."

Will Christians go through the Tribulation?
We may go through the tribulation and we may not. There are really only two choices. I would love to think or for that matter believe, that the rapture will occur "pretrib" (pre tribulation). I certainly hope it really is, but we don't know even that for certain.
This sayings seems rather appropriate: "Be Rapture ready and Tribulation Prepared".
Hints: Look up the words "tribulation"; "the end of the age"; "the end"; "the last days"; "the last times"; "the day"; "that day"; "the day of the Lord"; "the day of God"; "the great day"; "the day of wrath"; "the day of judgement"; "the day of redemption"; and "the last day".

Does anyone really know when the Rapture is
and when the Lord will return?
Some people say that "no one can know the time"

"And he (Jesus) said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power."
~Acts 1:7~

but others say this:
Mark 13:23 says, "But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you ALL things."
Luke 8:17 says, "Nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest: neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad."

and a few more
"He (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given." ~Matthew 13:11~

"And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:" ~Mark 4:11~

What is the Last Trump?
"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." ~1 Corinthians 15:52~

Signal's God's Presence - Exodus 19:16,19
Signal prophetic events - Rev 8:2,6,13 & Rev 9:14
Announce a Feast - Lev 23:23-25

What did JESUS say about the Signs of the End Times?
This is a good place to start your searching. Jesus had a lot to say about the end times. Of course there are many other verses but hopefully these will get you started.

Lets look in the Bible: at Matthew 24 - "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, ' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. ~Matthew 24:4-14~

You can read the whole chapter by clicking here: Read Matthew 24

"And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me."
~Luke 24:44~

Will the "Ark of the Covenant" be found?
Actually it is not necessary to have the "original" ark to rebuild the temple. Let's do a search in the concordance: The search showed "Ark of the Covenant" 46 times. Look up the verses and read them.

"And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more." ~Jeremiah 3:16~

"And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD." ~Joshua 6:6~

"And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail." ~Revelations 11:19~

Who is the Antichrist?
There are only 4 verses and they are all written by John.
Search word(s): antichrist 4 verse(s) matched in King James Version

1.

"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time." ~1 John 2:18~

2.

"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."~1 John 2:22~

3.

"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." ~1 John 4:3~

4.

"For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." ~2 John 1:7~

If the Rapture has come and you are still here......

Don't worry.

God does not give us the spirit of fear. God says that He will go with you through the trials. It may be painful but the LORD will take care of you. He is the shelter from the storm. He is the beginning and the End. The Alpha and Omega. The Bright Morning Star.

Remember that this is not a time to be SAD or BLUE for soon we will be in Heaven with the Lord. Reunited with our loved ones. The Messiah went ahead of us to "Prepare a place for us" and there are "many mansions" there.

The time is short. Keep enduring, Your reward we will be hearing the Lord say: "Well done thy good and faithful servant."

Don't allow yourself to be paralyzed with FEAR. Don't be afraid. "Fear not"!!!!!!! When you are frightened with the future and what is to come remember to quote scripture verses. The Bible is the "sword of the Lord". Here is a good verse to quote:

"What time I am afraid I will trust in thee." Psalm 46:10

End Times News:

Luke 21:25-27 "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."

The time is so very short....... Do you know what the Bible really says about the End Times? Every day we are seeing prophecy fulfilled in the news.

Now that you have done some serious Bible Study on the end times you may want to ponder these thoughts.

"The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him
that he would shew them a sign from heaven. He answered and said
unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the
sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the
sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the
sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? A wicked and
adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be
given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them,
and departed."
~Matthew 16: 1-4
~

There are vast amounts of Christian's who don't have any idea what the Bible says about eschatology. What of the future? What about the people left behind after the rapture? If we as Believers today, don't know what will actually happen in the end times what will happen to the people left behind. Will they know where to look in the Bible to find out what must happen next? Who will they ask for help? Christian's still have more trouble knowing how to read the signs of the times even now. Many people just don't know what the Bible says and they don't know where to start.

You can consider leaving a Bible and Prophecy/End times books in a easy to find spot in your home. Maybe one of the End Times fiction books that are so popular right now. You can consider one of the new Rapture and End Times movies by Van Impe. This will be a conversation starter and a help to those that will be left behind.
