"You can carry these "necessary objects" in your purse or pocket -- or in your imagination.
They consist of the following everyday items, which serve as reminders of spiritual
principles. "These are the things we use all the time," she says, "and thinking of them
this way can both reduce stress and help us change our attitudes."

1) A Toothpick, to remind you to pick out the good qualities in other people.

2) A Rubber Band, to remind you to be flexible, things may not always go the
way you want, but they always work out.

3) A Band-Aid, to remind you to heal hurt feelings, yours or someone else's.

4) A Pencil, to remind you to list your blessings.

5) An Eraser, to remind you that everyone makes mistakes and it's O.K.

6) Glue, to remind you to stick with it; if you do, you can accomplish anything.

7) A Mint, to remind you you're worth a mint.

8) A Candy Kiss, to remind you that everyone needs a kiss or a hug every day,
especially children.

9) A Tea Bag to remind you to take time for yourself; you've earned it.

Consider Giving These Items as a Gift
for Valentine's Day!

Make the "Survival Kit" as a GIFT box for yourself or a friend this Valentine's Day. Just
put all the items in a box and print out the page. Then include it with your special gift!!!
You can call it a "Comfort Box/Bag" or "Survival Kit" too! Remember to put all the items
in a box or special bag. Another way to present the special reminder items might be
a new cosmetic bag or even a new knapsack or purse. It is all up to you. Remember
that you are only limited by your imagination!!

I have made a page that you can print out to put in your Gift Box.
I use the browser setting of 640 x 480. You can change your settings and it will fit
on one page when you print it out. When you are done printing it just click "back"
