"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." ~Psalms 46:1~

How to use the Bible to protect yourself:

The Bible is our Sword. It is our weapon against things SEEN & UNSEEN. Use it when you need help and protection. Quote the Bible verses that you have memorized OUTLOUD. If you haven't memorized any Bible verses then write them down on index cards. Keep them handy to read them OUTLOUD. If all else fails then just grab your Bible and read from the Psalms. To read more about the Armor of God read Ephesians 6.

"11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"
~Ephesians 6: 11-18~

As children we are taught different Safety Rules to help protect us. Unfortunately as Christian's we are not often taught about the battle we face let alone how to fight it. So here are a few safety rules for you:

1: Pray without ceasing.
2: Speak the WORD of God. These two have really helped me:
Psalms 56:3 -
"What time I am afraid I will trust in Thee" and
Romans 8:28 -
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
3: Memorize Bible verses in advance of your need.
4: Pray for the Lord to release His guardian and ministering angels to protect you.
5: Sing Bible Verse Choruses

Some of the Safety Rules You Learned as a Child:
STOP, DROP and ROLL
CALL 911
NEVER TALK TO STRANGERS!!!!!
DON'T USE MATCHES!!!!!
Always keep a FIRST AID kit handy for when you need it!!!!

Remember that Christian's are not PERFECT just FORGIVEN!!!

1 John 1:9 tells believers that "if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Send Someone a Card:
When you reach out to encourage and help others, it seems to make you feel just a little better yourself. It is in helping others that your own problems don't seem as overwhelming. Remember this Bible verse:

"Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and
the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able
to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith
we ourselves are comforted of God."
